sale will feature functional and decorative clay works
at very reasonable prices. A variety of colors and
styles will be available. All are glazed with food-safe
glazes that are microwavable, ovenproof and dishwasher
safe.Shoppers can hunt for holiday gifts and watch
a potter's wheel demonstration while enjoying cookies
and mulled cider.
The
works of adult students of Bill van Gilder's Frederick
Pottery School have been juried before the show by
school instructors Bill van Gilder, Steve Wright,
Stan Burgess and Jen Hatfield. Payment by cash or
check will be accepted, 10% of all proceeds will be
donated to The Delaplaine Center for the Visual Arts
Young Peoples' Program.
The
student potters come from varied backgrounds and ages
from 16 to 70 years old. Students use both hand building
and wheel-throwing techniques to create their works.

has become the highlight of my week, I plan my week
around my pottery class. There is always something
