the
DIY network pottery preview
If
you're one of the growing number of pottery enthusiasts around
the country, you'll love this five-part workshop, DIY Pottery.
Host and master potter Bill Van Gilder shows the techniques
used to make a variety of ceramics projects, from frame-molded,
hand-built plates todeep-walled baking dishes turned on the
potter's wheel. He discusses and demonstrates finishing, glazing
and firing the projects in a kiln. He also tells how to set
up a pottery studio, find texture tools in the kitchen drawer
and how to shop for pottery.
